Brief Introduction

In the 1820’s, it is simply defined as making still pictures by recording radiation on a sensitive medium, such as a photographic film, or an electronic sensor. As simple as it’s description, people produce pictures in monochromes or more known as “Black and White” and it was not until the beginning of the mid 1800’s that color photography was finally developed.

Ultraviolet and infrared films have been available for many decades and employed in a variety of photographic avenues since the 1960s. New technological trends in digital photography have opened a new direction in full spectrum photography, where careful filtering choices across the ultraviolet, visible and infrared lead to new artistic visions.
